Kiera's Graduation from Beginner Training Class

Yesterday was the final and graduation class from the Beginner Training Course. Both Kiera and her classmate, Rocky,a year-old Rotweiller, did very well on their final "exam". She has calmed down considerably since she first came to live with me though as an 8-month old puppy she still, of course, has her daily crazies - or as a neighbor calls it - the zoomies. Her trainer was Jeff but we also met Diane. They are the trainers at our local PetSmart Store and I am very grateful for having been referred there. We need some more work to get the basics down pat. With the holidays coming it will likely be in January when we sign up for the Intermediate Course. In the meantime I'm going to sit in on Diane's Intermediate class this Thursday just to get an idea of what it involves.

Trip to Saugatuck MI

While visiting Alex in Ann Arbor we drove across to Saugatuck, a very cute little touristy town. Took a short cruise along the Kalamazoo River. Then drove to an area where we hiked a path to the sand dunes at the edge of Lake Michigan.

Away for a Few Days

I'm looking forward to spending time with Alex in Ann Arbor but will miss the grandkiddies and Kiera, all of whom will be in the good care of Stef.

I don't know who wrote this but like it:
“It is hard enough to remember my opinions without also having to remember my reasons for them.”
